IT Infrastructure

IT Infrastructure is a unit consisting of 22 experienced technicians who manage the entire Region Gotland's infrastructure for servers, storage, backup, networks, security, etc.

You will join a well-functioning team where all employees work towards the same goal: to deliver high availability and high security.

Your Responsibilities

Do you want to be part of the effort to ensure that Region Gotland has high availability and high security?

As a senior network technician, you are the spider in the web regarding the group's deliveries. Together with your immediate manager, IT architects, system specialists, object managers, and project leaders, you will plan, follow up, and drive the group's long-term deliveries.

As a senior network technician, you have an important operational role. You ensure that technical resources are available for daily operations, both in the short and long term. Within your delivery area, you lead, coach, and delegate, getting your team to work towards the same goals. You will communicate and collaborate daily with various groups, both technical and non-technical.

Your role also includes developing network design, methodology, tools, processes, and routines for internal working methods. The role also involves supplier management, i.e., setting requirements and monitoring service levels with external suppliers, as well as participating in procurements. You will also work operationally with daily network issues.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education for the tasks or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways. We consider the CCNP level to be a minimum, even though we also use other manufacturers.

We see that you have previously worked in leadership roles such as team leader, project manager, or equivalent within a larger IT organization or with an IT supplier.

You are comfortable in the role of a leader without formally being a manager. You will lead technicians in the network area, so deep knowledge in the field is a requirement.

We see that you have the following experiences:

• Experience leading others towards set goals
• Experience in managing and developing network solutions in complex IT environments
• Familiar with the ITIL framework
• Familiar with agile working methods
• Experience in contract management and cost monitoring
• Experience in procurements, preferably within LOU
• Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

You are a natural leader with a strong ability to collaborate and inspire your team. Your own drive and commitment mean that you always strive to achieve the set goals, and you take the initiative to realize them. Additionally, you are communicative and pedagogical, meaning you can easily explain complex ideas and get others on board with your visions.

About the Regional Board Administration

As part of Region Gotland, the Regional Board Administration is responsible for corporate governance, strategic planning, and case preparation. We also work with regional development and cultural and leisure activities. We serve as internal support to the region's other administrations. Together, we care for quality and efficiency for those we exist for. Through our responsibility for the rescue service in Gotland, we are also an important part of citizens' safety and security.
